Summer is already well underway, but it's never too late to discover and rediscover the ideal buds to accompany you during this time. Our macerated oils can easily be slipped into your suitcases and holiday bags and taken with you wherever you go. In this article, we remind you of the essential information about four recommended buds for summer: Cranberry, Chestnut, Fig, and Rosemary.
Gemmotherapy treatment
Before presenting the buds we have selected, it is always useful to give a brief reminder about the duration of treatment and the recommended dosage.
The recommended duration of a course of treatment is 3 weeks , followed by a one-week break. This break is called a " therapeutic break ." It allows the body to integrate the therapy. The course can then be continued for a period of 3 months, always respecting this cycle of 3 weeks of treatment followed by a one-week break.
Gemmotherapy is natural, innovative, and affordable for all ages. It can be recommended for children, babies, and even, within certain limits, for pregnant women. However, pregnant women should only take gemmotherapy complexes and single-ingredient remedies on the recommendation of a healthcare professional.
Dosages:
- For adults: In case of acute illness, repeat the dose over time: maximum 5 drops per dose and a maximum of 3 times a day. Until improvement. For preventative treatment, 5 to 15 drops maximum once in the morning (3 weeks/month).
- For children aged 3 and over: 1 drop per day per year of age. For example, a 4-year-old would take 4 drops per day. Start with 1 drop and increase by one drop each day until the desired effect is achieved.

L'Airelle: the ally of feminine comfort
Pol Henry, founder of gemmotherapy, said that if only one bud could be remembered, it would undoubtedly have been the bilberry.
Like the raspberry, the bilberry is considered a predominantly female bud.
Bilberry possesses numerous beneficial properties: estrogen-like, anti-infectious, bladder-draining, and anti-inflammatory . It also supports intestinal function and helps rebalance the body's elimination pathways. While not always sufficient on its own for acute cystitis, it is recommended for long-term treatment of recurrent cystitis or persistent bladder inflammation. Cystitis is generally more frequent during menopause due to hormonal changes.
It relieves symptoms associated with menopause (hot flashes, urinary problems, anxiety). Cranberry also supports the ovaries: it combats aging and decreased activity, and helps maintain their vitality for as long as possible.
- Precautions for use: not recommended during pregnancy and for people who have suffered from a hormonal disorder (cancer, cysts, etc.)
- Side effects: None

The Chestnut tree: the bud of water retention!
The chestnut tree is considered the bud of the lymphatic system. It has several benefits: it tones the veins and lymph (considered an excellent lymphatic drainage aid), and its anti-cellulite, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties make it very useful. It is particularly helpful for heavy legs, varicose veins, cellulite, or water retention. These problems are even more prevalent in the summer with the high temperatures.
In addition to its role for the lymphatic system, it has been discovered that the chestnut tree also has a positive effect on eczema of the lower limbs.

The Fig Tree: your relaxation ally!
Fig bud, a regulator of the nervous system, is a major macerate in gemmotherapy.
Fig tree macerate primarily addresses stress, anxiety, and depression, and consequently, related disorders such as sleep and digestive problems, particularly stomach issues. It calms and soothes stressed individuals, facilitates falling asleep, and reduces nighttime awakenings.
This bud is therefore ideal for people suffering from motion sickness and also for those stressed about going on holiday.
- Precautions for use : in people allergic to latex, fig bud macerate may cause reactions.
- Side effects: None

Rosemary: your detox ally!
Even if you're athletic or watching your figure, during the holidays you tend to let loose and indulge in overly rich or excessively boozy meals…
While the liver is an ally of all organs thanks to its ability to cleanse toxins, the rosemary bud is a liver ally in particular. Through its action on the liver, rosemary has a wide range of effects on the body. Because it helps the liver by cleansing it, it also helps it to eliminate various toxins present in other organs. Rosemary protects and regenerates the liver, thus indirectly helping to prevent various ailments in the human body.
In addition to the help it provides to the liver and the rest of the body, rosemary is a brain stimulant that gives clear thinking.
- Precautions for use: Not recommended for pregnant women
- Side effects: None
